Are you planning a vacation in England? If so you may want to consider bed and breakfast in London as a cheaper alternative to staying in a London hotel. There are many advantages to B & B accommodation besides the obvious savings in cost, some hotels in England can seem a little old fashioned and stuffy to those who do not appreciate the traditional.

Staying in a guest house you will experience varying degrees of comfort from the luxurious down to the passable. To enable you to choose suitable accommodation you will need to understand the star rating system, of which there are several but all follow the same principles. If you are looking for top luxury treatment and surrounding together with that little extra "something" you will need to make a reservation at an establishment rated at 5 stars. If you are looking for excellent quality and good services then 4 stars will do fine (these are not quite 5 star). If you will be happy with something less than this you should choose a 2 or 3 star rated place to stay, these are perfectly fine but may not have the services available in those places rated higher.
