The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben are among the top of the list. You couldn't travel to London and not see Big Ben. Although many people think that Big Ben is the clock on the houses of parliament, Big Ben is actually the name of the bell that sounds out the hour. The former Palace of Westminster is home to both the House of Lords and House of Commons. The houses have been located here since the 11 th Century. Visitors can see the inside of the palace, however, the wait is long and tedious. The best sight is from outside where you can see the magnificent architecture of the Houses of Parliament. Across the street from Big Ben is the Jewel Tower. It is one of the oldest buildings from the Palace of Westminster. Shopping for clothing and shoes in the UK can be quite difficult if you are from the United States . For clothing it is best to add "2" to your size. For example, if you were a size 10, then you will need a size 12 and so forth. Shoes are the opposite and you will subtract "2". So, if you were a size 10, then you will need a size 8 in the UK.
One of the most famous London department stores is Harrods. Located in Knightsbridge it is the ultimate London shopping experience. They offer a variety of options from clothing to sports equipment. The store is in an art-deco building that resembles an ocean liner. They have everything fashionable for both you and your home. The Natural History Museum is in the worlds Top 10 history museums. Entry is free to all of London's museums and this one will be the most fun. This summer they even hosted a dinosaur dig where kids could come and dig for dinosaur bones. The museum features an earthquake room, a leafcutter ant colony, komodo dragons, dinosaurs and more. The giant animatronic T-Rex will for sure be a family favorite in the Natural History Museum.
